| Duration of the trip is about 3.5 hours. Bus departs on Saturday from Pawia Street, next to the Railway Station. The Minibuses marked Contra-Bus or Lux-Bus leave at 1.30 p.m. or 3.30 p.m. The tour of the mine is in English and starts at 3.00 p.m. or 5.00 p.m. Description The tourist route consists of 20 chambers interconnected by 3 km of long corridors and goes through three levels, from 64 to 135 m below the ground. The tourist route leads through the underground caverns and chapels. The most fascinating is the Saint Kinga's Chapel: it is 50m long, 16m wide and 10m high with beautiful chandeliers made of salt crystal and sculptures carved in salt, made at the beginning of the last century. In 1978 Wieliczka Salt-Mine was inscribed at the UNESCO List of Cultural and Natural Heritage. The temperature in the mine is constant - 14°C. It is recommended to take warm clothes when visiting the mine in the summer.
